Liverpool Masonic Hall Building Fund
At the Liverpool Masonic Hall Building Fund committee meeting of 5th May it was reported that the event ‘An Evening with Ken Dodd’ proved to be very successful providing the Hall with much needed additional funding.
We are also very grateful to the brethren who have taken out standing orders in support of the Hall and of course to the generosity of those lodges and chapters that have made donations to the fund.
Our notice board, located in the bar area, details all items offered for sale as well as other useful information. Much effort by the committee members was needed to compile this listing and to produce the notices. So please spare some time and read them.
The show cabinet is stocked with various articles for sale. Brethren are also invited to take items for use as raffle prizes, on condition that the raffle proceeds are donated to the Building Fund.
Although we have a wide variety of items for sale in the display cabinet we are constantly looking for any collar or breast jewels, apron badges, or any other Masonic regalia that may be of use to other brethren or companions on the occasion of their joining, appointment or promotion; therefore any items of such a nature would be most acceptable.
In fact any donation, bottle of wine or anything that will raffle would be welcome and they can all be left with our Bar staff who will see they are properly handled.
The Liver Bird lapel badges will continue to be sold with reduced packaging in order to maintain costs and new ‘Save our Hall’ badges are being introduced.
Being an old Masonic hall, we are always struggling to keep on top of those simple ongoing maintenance tasks that become so costly, and we are also looking for tradesmen to come and do small jobs around the hall.
If you feel that you can help by donating a few hours of your time, the contacts are on the notice board, you don't have to be a tradesman anyone that is alive please ring either Dave Kelleher or myself and we will welcome you a cup of tea & reward you will a bit of exercise.
